Changing RTI Routing Service Presentation QOS [Solved]

Hi all,

I have a Routing Service set up to relay data received on domain 1 (asymmetric TCP) to domain 0 (shmem) and a remote application that pumps data into domain 1 so that a client application of mine can consume it in domain 0.

However, when I start up the system, the RTI admin console presents me with the following problem:

Hi guys, I am working on a distributed app and I have three types of behavior which I do not seem to get the fully working using QoS. 

1. A transient persistant topic from which any new endpoind will receive the latest needed data from a specific topic (topic is keyed so there are the latest state from a specific entity)

2. A fast topic which can send large arrays of samples but with the assurance that all samples from that call are received and in proper order (like a Query)

Only send the sample if it has changed

Hi,

There is a process that sends messages on a regular interval, regardless if the content has changed or not. To save bandwidth, I'd like to only transmit the message if it has changed. One option is to do it programmattically, but is it possible using a QoS setting? Ideally it would be nice to leave the code as it is (writing on a regular interval) but have DDS put it on the wire only if it has changed.

Setting QoS in java

Hi,

I've created a writer that works as expected with normal QoS, but when I want to change some of the settings (programatically, in Java) it resets to the default QoS. Is there some sort of overwriting mechanism going on, or is there a hierarchy of prioritised QoS settings? What I'm doing is this:

Hi there,

Assume that I have a topic with 4 instances. Firstly, the first publisher is the owner of all these 4 instances. Then a new publisher comes, this publisher should be the owner of 2 instances of these 4 instances.

If a subscriber connects , It should get 2 instances from the first publisher and the other 2 instances from the second publisher.

QoS Profile Inheriting from Multiple Profiles

Hello,

I'm trying to get a better understanding of QoS profiles, specifically inheritance.  My scenario is the following:

I have several profiles (some dealing with participants, others with data readers/writers) I want to be able to select at runtime based on user specified arguments.

Durable -> Set up transient local durability

WAN -> Use WAN plugins

TCP -> Use TCP plugins

Secure -> Send using DTLS

Reliable -> Basically the built in profile for strict reliable

Properly using PRESENTATION QOS

Hi. I would like to know how to use PRESENTATION QOS with listener properly.

I know that there are 3 ways to receive data.

1. explicitly call read() or take()

2. listener call back ( on_data_available() )

3. waitset

 

I use 2nd way to receive data.

QoS for "Sparse Sampling" DataReaders

We are having trouble finding the correct QoS settings to get our DDS application to operate as desired. The data readers are unable to read newly publish data after the max_total_instances have be reached, even though the QoS contains KEEP_LAST_HISTORY_QOS, BEST_EFFORT_RELIABILITY_QOS, with disable_positive_acks and  push_on_write being set as well as autopurges set in the reader and writer data lifecycle settings.
