34.1.4 FlatData Language Binding

FlatData language binding offers the following benefits:

• Reduced number of copies: from four to two for both SHMEM and UDP transports (see Figure 34.4: Number of Copies Using FlatData Language Binding), because there is no need to serialize and deserialize a sample.
• Reduced memory consumption and CPU load, due to reduced data copying.
• Improved latency for large data samples.
