4.4. Hangs
4.4.1. [Critical] Application hang after failing to post a local credential validation event during DomainParticipant enablement
DomainParticipant enablement failure caused by a local credential event error caused an application hang. The logged message included the following errors:
ERROR [[...]|CREATE DP|ENABLE|ENABLE PRES DP|LC:Discovery,Security] PRESParticipant_enable:FAILED TO POST | An event for [...] validation.
ERROR [[...]|CREATE DP|ENABLE|LC:Discovery,Security] DDS_DomainParticipantPresentation_enable:!create enable
ERROR [[...]|CREATE DP|ENABLE|LC:Discovery] DDS_DomainParticipant_enableI:!enable participant
ERROR [[...]|CREATE DP|ENABLE] DDS_DomainParticipantFactory_create_participant:ERROR: Failed to auto-enable entity
Trying to use or delete the DomainParticipant caused the application hang.

4.4.2. [Major] Excessive resource consumption in certain scenarios *
In certain situations, the Security Plugins consumed excessive
resources in threads responsible for local security artifacts’ renewal
and expiration. The primary symptom was high CPU consumption, which
slowed Connext’s runtime execution. Examples of situations triggering
this problem included a period of time between creating a
DomainParticipant and fully enabling it, or disabling OCSP. The latter
could be triggered by setting the <ocsp> tag within the
identity_credential_authority_validation
tag to IGNORED or by setting the
com.rti.serv.secure.authentication.ocsp_ignored
property
to TRUE.
