Final vs Entensible when publishing

Hello

When I create/publish a topic using LabView, I notice that the Topic is always marked Extensible when viewing it through the RTI Analyzer.

Is it possible to configure the Topic to be marked "Final" so that it can be more closely type-matched to it's non-LabView peers which are all finalized?

Not a significant issue, we're just doing some fine tuning.

Thanks,

JohnK!

Hi JohnK!!

You are right, by default all types are created as the default extensibility (Extensible).

Sadly, the currect RTI DDS Toolkit for LabVIEW does not allow changing type extensibility.

I have created a request for this issue, but it is not planned for the next release. The internal request code is LABPLG-302, keep it for future references.
If you need this for your application, please contact us at labview@rti.com and we will work with you on this task's schedule.

Thanks,
Sara
