rtisetenv_<architecture> not found

Hi - I'm trying to get started with RTI Connext following the 2_hello_world example and, honestly, falling at the first hurdle. I've downloaded and installed RTI connext 6.1.2 and I'm trying to set my environment variables using the rtisetenv_<architecture>.bat file. However, I can't see the .bat file in my installation where I expected it to live at /resources/scripts/

I can only see rticommon and rticommon_config.

Is there somewhere else I can find the rtisetenv file?

Thank you.

Hello bmohanku, what is the name of the RTI Connext package that you have installed?

Did you install the rti_connext_dds-6.1.2-pro-target-<architecture>.rtipkg?

My installation shows:

where I've installed

rti_connext_dds-6.1.2-pro-target-x64Linux4gcc7.3.0.rtipkg

rti_connext_dds-6.1.2-pro-target-x64Win64VS2017.rtipkg

Hi - thanks for the quick reply.

File name is:

rti_connext_dds-6.1.2-pro-host-x64Win64.exe

I managed to manually add the paths, which allowed me to run rtiddsgen so I think the problem is solved?

Nevermind... found the package, and all is there now.

Thanks and sorry!

Hi,

I think it seems the `rtisetenv_<architecture>.bat` file might not have been installed or is in a different location. First, try searching the entire RTI installation folder for `rtisetenv_*.bat`. The file is typically found in `<RTI_INSTALL_DIR>\resource\scripts\` or `<RTI_INSTALL_DIR>\bin\`. If it's missing, you might want to reinstall RTI Connext and ensure the development tools are selected during installation. Additionally, verify you downloaded the correct package for your operating system and architecture (e.g., x64, x86).

Thanks
