Availability of Libraries of VxWorks 6.9 gcc 4.3 on Pentium platform

I read that 'VxWorks 6.9 GCC 4.3 on Pentium' library is in pipeline to be released.

Is there any information regarding the release date?

Hi Manasvi,

It is already released in RTI Connext 5.3.0

As you can see in the Platform Notes: link

VxWorks 6.9 works with gcc4.3.3 for Kernel Modules: pentiumVx6.9gcc4.3.3 and for Real Time Processes: pentiumVx6.9gcc4.3.3_rtp

In the linked document I see that the following OS versions are compatible.

VxWorks 6.9, 6.9.3.2, 6.9.4, 7.0.

At the moment, I am interested in 32 bit VxWorks 6.9.4.1 which is 'rti_connext_dds-5.3.0.1-pro-target-pentiumVx6.9gcc4.3.3.rtipkg' in the download section of rti.com. Is this compatibility fine?

 My confusion is because, the minor version is not mentioned.Are all minor version of 6.9.4.x are compatible with RTI DDS 5.3.0.1/5.3.0.0?

Hi Manasvi,

If you look at this table, we support VxWorks 6.9.4 only in Power PC, not on pentium. For pentium, we only support VxWorks 6.9. Due to changes in VxWorks, those are not compatible with VxWorks 6.9.4.  We are working on other ports and pentium is one of the considerations.
