ddsspy is broken under Windows

Hello all,

Under Windows ddsspy:

  • Doesn't receive messages that are not in the "empty string partition".
  • If I try to set a partition using the GUI provided I get the error that the command line parameter -partition does not exist. (edit)

Is there a fix for that?

Thank you!

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I think you may have mispelt the option. It should be "-partition" (a single hyphen).

This was a typo in my post. But the problem persists.

  • I am using the  RTI Connext Launcher 5.2.0 - Utilities - RTI DDS Spy - Advanced Options to set a partition to ddsspy. This does NOT work, because -partition is an unrecognized parameter according to ddsspy. So there is at least a bug in the GUI.
  • If I set no partition at all, ddsspy does not get data published in a partition other than the "empty string"-partition.

So if I use partitions ddsspy under Window is not usable at all. This problem does not occur under Linux. There without any settings all data is always received.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were using the Launcher GUI. I have confirmed that there is bug using that option from the GUI. For now, can you run spy in the command line? I am filing a bug so this is looked into.
