The short answer is that Connext 4.5c is not compatible with RHEL 8.
The Long Answer:
Connext 4.5c was released in 2010, and RHEL 5 reached its end of extended life in November, 2020. RHEL 8 was released in 2019, and has no plans for a backward compatibility compiler. See https://access.redhat.com/solutions/19458. The Platform version for Connext 4.5c/RHEL 5 is x64Linux2.6gcc4.1.2, while the Platform version for RHEL 8 is x64Linux4gcc7.3.0.
With that said, we've forwarded your question to the appropriate RTI Field Application Engineer. It will probably be a straightforward conversation to determine how to migrate to a platform that will meet your requirements. We've done similar transitions for other customers coming from 4.5x versions.
