LabView/RTI installation

LabView/RTI installation

I have installed the RTI DDS Toolkit for LabView. The package appears on the JKI VI Package Manager, but the functionality is not appearing in the Funtion or Control Pallete of LabView. It also appears that not all of the files ahve been installed

Hi Bruce,

First of all, thanks for using the RTI DDS Toolkit for LabVIEW!! There are 3 reasons that may be causing the problem you are seeing:

  1. Which VI Package Manager version are you using? Is it VIPM 2013? There is a known incompatibility between VIPM 2014 packages (as ours) and VIPM 2013. You can see more details in JKI's support website and the compatibility section of our Release Notes.  If this is your case, please upgrade to VIPM 2014 and try again.
  2. Are you running VIPM with administrative priviledges? If not, run it as Administrator and try again.
  3. Do you have more than one LabVIEW installed in the machine? Make sure you selected the correct LabVIEW on the top bar of the VIPM when installing.

Also, take into account we support LabVIEW 2012 and on. If none of the above works, please attach  a screenshot of the VIPM status regarding the toolkit to see what may be causing your issue.
