What causes this error: PRESParticipant_removeRemoteParticipantWithEndpoints:!remove endpoints of remote participant -1245916750

I'm picking up where another developer left off and have little experience with DDS. The problem I'm having is that DDS messaging is suddenly not working over wifi (it was working just fine before and nothing has changed as far as I know) even though both devices are on the same network. This is the following error I am receiving:
