Admin Console could not be started from Launcher

Hello everybody,

I'm using 6.0.1 version, and when trying to run Admin Console from RIT connext launcher, an error promts that "An error has occured", I've put the log in the attached.

Could somebody help to have a look at it please. Many thanks.

BTW, other tools & utilities like Monitor, DDS Spy work well from Launcher.

Hello Ting,

After checking the log attached in yout message, I think that the problem could be related to a problem with the RTI workspace for Admin Console. I would suggest to remove the Admin Console folder in the RTI workspace and try again to launch Admin Console. According to your log, you would need to delete the folder: C:\Users\yangting\Documents\rti_workspace\6.0.1\user_config\admin_console

Just to clarify, the reason why I think that the error is related to something wrong in the rti workspace is that the log does not contains RTI code in the exception stacktrace, it only makes reference to the eclipse framework code. That makes me think that eclipse is failing to initialize during the start up of Admin Console because, while reading the encrypted data, it expects a number but it does not get the expected value.

I hope this clarifies what is happening and fix the issue. Please let us know if this fix your issue and, if that is not the case, I will proceed with a deeper investigation.
